H-2A and H-2B temporary agricultural supports allow agricultural employers who anticipate a shortage of domestic workers to bring nonimmigrant foreign workers to the U.S. to perform agricultural labor or services of a temporary or seasonal nature. Employment is tied to a certain time of year by an event or pattern, such as a short annual growing cycle, and requires labor levels above what is necessary for ongoing operations. Employment is of a temporary nature and requires coordination with other federal immigration related services.

The Agricultural Resources Conservation Fund provides resources to projects that lessen erosion, minimize livestock impact on Tennessee’s waters, and encourage proper use of nutrients on farms by increasing knowledge of best practices, which is an evidence-based practice. These projects help maintain or improve farm productivity while also maintaining, protecting, or improving the conditions of Tennessee’s streams and other waterways.

Competitive cost share program providing 25% of project costs up to $1,000,000 for agriculture or forestry related projects that start or expand businesses. Minimum total project capital expenditure is $2,000,000. Successful grant recipients demonstrate a strong potential for impact on local farm income, access to markets, increased capacity or agricultural innovation. Priority is given to businesses located in at-risk counties, distressed counties, and counties adjoining at-risk or distressed counties.

The American Job Center Network is designed to provide a full range of assistance to job seekers in one physical or virtual location. The AJCs offer training referrals, career counseling, job listings, and similar employment-related services. Programs and services are provided to a wide range of individuals, such as youth, unemployed individuals, senior adults, veterans, justice involved individuals, individuals with disabilities, etc. Customers can visit a center in person or connect to the center's information online or through kiosk remote access.

AmeriCorps is a National Service program that provides an opportunity for Americans of all ages and backgrounds to give their time and talent to address critical community needs like increasing academic achievement, mentoring youth, fighting poverty, sustaining national parks, preparing for disasters, and more. Subrecipients (local non-profit organizations receiving funding) engage AmeriCorps members in service activities in the priority areas of: Education, including through Teacher Corps such as Teach for America, an evidence-based program; Disaster Services; Economic Opportunity; Environmental Stewardship; Healthy Futures; Veterans and Military Families; and Other Human Needs.

The Apprenticeship TN program supports employers in developing Registered Apprenticeship Programs (RAPs) and creates greater awareness of apprenticeship opportunities for employers and workers across Tennessee. RAPs are an industry-driven, high-quality career pathway where employers can develop and prepare their future workforce, and individuals can obtain paid work experience and a portable, nationally-recognized credential.

The Aspiring Assistant Principal Network and Diverse Leader Network are teacher leadership pipelines for educators with an interest in school leadership. These pathways allow participants to complete a yearlong accelerated master’s degree at Austin Peay State University at no cost to the participant. Through research-based practices, instruction, and mentorship, this program equips teachers with the skill and know-how to become an effective building administrator while also preparing them to complete the Tennessee Educational Leadership Praxis. With an overall goal to build instructional leadership capacity, program participants graduate with an advanced degree in Educational Leadership, well prepared for school administration.

The Tennessee START Assessment & Stabilization Teams (TN START) is a statewide mental health service for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities who have complex behavioral or mental health needs (MH-IDD). The START model is a comprehensive model of service supports for community-based crisis prevention and intervention that optimizes independence, treatment, and community living for individuals with IDD and behavioral health needs. TN START provides prevention and stabilization through 24/7 in-person crisis response, ongoing cross-systems crisis stabilization planning, training and education, consultation and systemic analysis, and formalized partnerships with other systemic entities.

The Behavioral Health Safety Net for Adults provides core, essential, outpatient mental health services to uninsured Tennesseans who meet program eligibility criteria through a network of community mental health centers. This includes interventions, several of which are evidence-based, like assessment and evaluation, therapeutic interventions, case management, transportation, peer support services, psychosocial rehabilitation services, psychiatric medication management, laboratory tests related to medication management, and pharmacy assistance and coordination.
