Program Description
The Stream and Wetland Restoration Grant Program selects and funds projects that best offset natural resource damages to surface waters of the state with a nexus to those injured and assessed through enforcement. The program provides financial assistance to nonprofit corporations, state agencies, federal agencies, and municipal entities in Tennessee to implement stream and wetland restoration projects. Those projects fit into one of the following eligible project categories: stream and wetland restoration and enhancement, protection of waters and wetlands, and water quality improvement.
