Program Description
The HIV Program covers prevention, care, and surveillance services. It is designed to lower HIV infection, illness, and death rates for at-risk Tennesseans. Prevention includes condom distribution, PrEP (Pre-Exposure prophylaxis) counseling and care, and education around safe practices. Care involves providing HIV medication and provider visits. Surveillance monitors the ongoing state of HIV in Tennessee.
