Program Description

As a part of WIOA Title I, Adult Services provides Tennessee job seekers and others with job search assistant services and training opportunities and helps employers meet their workforce needs. It is implemented through local workforce development areas/boards and organizations. This program specifically serves veterans, low-income individuals and recipients of public assistance, and those who are basic skill deficient.

Logic Model

If we ensure effective implementation of WIOA – Adult Services through local workforce development areas/boards that provide a range of employment, education, training, and related services and supports for adults, such as – assistance with educational testing, books, fees, school supplies and other necessary items for students enrolled in post-secondary education classes, and employment and training-related applications, tests, certifications, etc. – then we will help adult job-seekers secure good jobs while providing businesses with the skilled workers they need to compete in the global economy.
