Program Description

The New Freedom: Cognitive Behavioral Intervention Program is a curriculum set in prisons to focus on changing how offenders respond to stress in their environments. The curriculum focuses on Conflict Resolution/Anger Management, Risk Factors, and Recidivism/Relapse prevention. There may be addition components for female offenders that can include: Abuse, Victimization, Trauma, and Relationships. CBIP is a common type of psychoeducation.
