Program Description

Overdose Data to Action (OD2A) within TDH’s Overdose Response Coordination Office is a CDC-funded grant program that supports Tennessee jurisdictions in implementing drug overdose prevention activities, in collecting accurate, comprehensive, and timely data on nonfatal and fatal overdoses, and in using those data to enhance programmatic and surveillance efforts. The program focuses on understanding and tracking the complex and changing nature of the drug overdose crisis by integrating data and evidence-based prevention strategies. Those evidence-based strategies include navigation to services, medication for opioid use disorders in correctional facilities, and harm reduction services.
