Program Description

Project Diabetes is a grant program that funds prevention projects that focus on changing policies, systems, and/or the environment to support healthier lifestyles in communities. Recent focus areas center on food and beverage accessibility and increasing physical activity. Approaches to PSE change help highlight how communities function, including how resources are allocated and how services are delivered, and the influence of those systems and structures on community health before the onset of illness.
