Program Description

TN Certified Pre-Apprenticeships allow employers, educators, communities, associations, and organizations to develop and implement quality training programs, which help prepare individuals to enter into Registered Apprenticeship Programs. Certified Pre-Apprenticeships are primarily operated through K-12, post-secondary, and adult education providers. They could involve an educational component with aligned credential opportunities and/or work-based experiences which could articulate for credit toward the aligned RAP.

Logic Model

If we work with community stakeholders to develop and implement pre-apprenticeship programs that help students prepare for Registered Apprenticeship Programs while also helping students decide which job fields are of interest to them, then we will help more Tennesseans enter into RAPs and be successful in them, which in turn means more Tennesseans gaining good jobs and businesses obtaining the skilled workers they need to compete in the global economy.
