The non-custodial juvenile justice program serves youth who are on probation, intensive probation, diversion or have been released from state custody and are on aftercare. These youth are at imminent risk of coming into or recommitting to state custody, due to delinquent behavior. One evidence-based intervention for these case types is Multisystemic Therapy (MST).

This program provides students, teachers and families with quality resources to support student learning in the home and combat learning loss. In partnership with book-gifting organizations, this program mails books and literacy tools (e.g., activity sheets to help children engage with the books) to kindergarten through third grade students during the summer, at no cost to families or school districts.

The TennCare Katie Beckett Program is for children under age 18 with disabilities or complex medical needs who are not Medicaid eligible because of their parent’s income or assets. It helps to provide care for the child’s medical needs or disability that private insurance does not cover. Katie Beckett Part A (or “Part A” for short) is for children who would qualify for care in a medical institution—like a hospital, nursing home or ICF/IID (Intermediate Care Facility for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities)—but who want care at home instead.

The Katie Beckett Program provides supports and services for children with disabilities and complex medical needs under age 18 who do not qualify for Medicaid due to their parents’ income or assets. Part B is for children in Tennessee who have disabilities and complex medical needs who live at home and do not qualify for care in a medical institution but are at risk of requiring institutional-level care. Children who qualify for Part A can also receive Part B if there is no slot available in A.

The Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) is a federal program that provides matching grants to states to administer to state and local governments for the acquisition and development of public outdoor recreation areas and facilities. All land associated with the funded projects must be owned by a government entity and an LWCF grant requires an equal organization match.

Entrepreneur Centers and Network Partners are important resources for Tennessee entrepreneurs and inventors. There are seven entrepreneur centers in cities across the state with specialized resources for the dominant industries in their cities. Network Partners, meanwhile, include statewide and regional organizations that – in collaboration with LaunchTN – provide additional resources and opportunities for entrepreneurs and investors.

The Launch TN Impact Fund provides funding to early-stage companies based in Tennessee. Funding is available as pre-seed investment, seed investment, and follow-on investment. Funding from each initiative requires a match of private dollars, a thorough diligence process by LaunchTN, and approval from the Impact Fund Committee.

The SBIR/STTR Matching Fund is a strategic initiative developed and administered by LaunchTN to advance the commercialization of technological innovations across the state. The Fund matches successful Phase I and Phase II Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) or Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) federal awards up to $100,000 and $300,000, respectively.

The Lead Poisoning Prevention Program promotes the prevention of lead poisoning in children and links lead-poisoned children from birth through 6 years of age to recommended services. The program assists medical care providers and other community members to reduce and prevent lead poisoning by providing case management, local outreach and education, and surveillance of lead testing data. The program recognizes that children under the age of 3 years (36 months) are at greatest risk for lead poisoning.

The Leadership and Organizational Development program supports Tennessee state agencies by optimizing people, culture, structure, and processes. It does this through surveys, learning and training opportunities, brainstorming sessions, and strategic planning. The goal is to ensure that each employee has the opportunity to develop to be their personal best.

The Lifeline Peer Project was established to reduce stigma related to the disease of addiction, provide recovery and mental health support, and help start Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, Celebrate Recovery, Double Trouble, and other self-help addiction and mental health support groups. There are 10 Lifeline coordinators serving regions statewide. This project was developed using an established evidence-based peer support model.

The Local Parks and Recreation Fund (LPRF) program provides grants to eligible local government entities for the purchase of land for parks, natural areas, greenways, and recreation facilities. The funds may also be used for trail development and capital projects in parks, natural areas, and greenways. At least 60 percent of the funds allocated go to municipal governments, and all land associated with the funded projects must be owned by a government entity. LPRF grants require an equal local match.
